Welcome to Submit Here
Tell me everything. Human-sized stories about sex and culture, by Tolly Moseley.
You could say my reasons for starting Submit Here are selfish.
Why? Because I love listening to people. In particular, I love listening to them talk about sex.
And yet, when we talk about sex, it often gets refracted out into a kaleidoscope of other forces. Politics. Religion. Advertising. Capitalism. Comedy. (To be fair, sex is funny sometimes.)
But ever since getting into what I’ll loosely term the sex positive community, I’ve had an easier time talking about sex without reflexively making a joke. Or reaching for the obvious tropes. For example: “men be horny, women be relational.” That old saw.
Sex is a fundamental part of being a human. That’s the overall vibe of Submit Here, and that’s where you come into play.
Wait, me?
Totally. I’d love to hear from you.
Who are you?
A former ‘90s teenager steeped in purity culture.
Maybe you are too? (If so, wanna trade Jars of Clay CDs?) It doesn’t matter your generational or religious background though, because sex unites us all. Even if you’re asexual.
So how does this work?
I’m still experimenting with form, but my favorite so far is just having conversations with people.
From there, I usually tease out some little story. Read through a few posts — you’ll get the vibe.
If you’d like to have a convo, here are a few things to keep in mind:
You don’t have to have a wild sex story.
I like to keep these chats to about an hour.
If you’ve ever watched High Maintenance, a show prompted by weed delivery but not about weed or delivery, then you’ll know what I’m going for here. Sex stuff is an entry point to you as a person, but your story doesn’t have to be about a sexual event.
You can submit your story here.

The reason the tagline of this Substack includes sex and culture, is because I believe there are few (possibly zero) absolute truths about sex.
Without sounding too much like your postmodernist liberal arts professor, we’re always products of and contributors to “the culture.” It’s impossible to separate out your impulses, your desires, even your morals from the collective, and honestly? I find that reassuring, the idea that we’re never really alone.
So. You’re here, reading, and I’m here, listening. Submit Here is a place for folks to come share their truth, not the truth.
Let’s talk.
